The hotel is under the supervision of the Jerusalem Rabbinate and food preparation is also overseen by the hotel’s in-house Rabbinical Supervisor (Mashgiach).
Dining Venues at The David Citadel Hotel
The beautiful Lobby Lounge owes its unique and sophisticated décor to world renowned Italian designer Piero Lissoni. Natural sunlight fills the interior through an arched glass roof and guests can take in panoramic views of the Old City whilst enjoying a light dairy kosher meal which is served either hot or cold. Also available is a selection of salads, sandwiches, cakes, as well as non alcoholic and alcoholic beverages. The large Seasonal Terrace, adjoining the Lobby Lounge, overlooks the hotel’s Swimming Pool and affords views towards the ancient Jaffa Gate, and is another area where guests can be served s a wide selection of international cuisines.
The Scala Chef Kitchen & Bar, also designed by Piero Lissoni, offers gourmet dining along with an elegant tapas lounge and a well stocked bar serving boutique wines. In addition, this gourmet Jerusalem restaurant offers a large selection of fine spirits and cocktails.
The Seasons Restaurant provides delicious dishes during the holidays and at weekends. The restaurant is, like all the other dining venues in The David Citadel Hotel, fully kosher and observant guests can enjoy a multi-course Shabbat meal each Friday evening and Saturday lunchtime. The Seasons Restaurant also offers a famous fresh Israeli style breakfast buffet each morning, comprising a selection of locally sourced cheeses, smoked fish and cereals, all accompanied by a variety of fresh salads. To ensure a good start to the day guests can also fill up on specialty breads and cakes.
Classical Jerusalem meets traditional Japanese cuisine - Yakimono Sushi Bar, set in the main lobby of the hotel, offers gourmet Jerusalem Sushi and Asian dishes. Enjoy modern design while indulging in delightful dishes created by leading chefs.
